Abstract
FERNANDEZ DURAN, Erick Marcelo and URRIOLAGOITIA, Gabriela. THE FUNCTION OF DESIRE IN THE FIRST TEACHING OF LACAN FOR LACANIAN ORIENTATION PSYCHOANALYSIS. Ajayu [online]. 2019, vol.17, n.2, pp.387-423. ISSN 2077-2161.
This study was made with the purpose of reviewing the concept of desire within Jacques Lacans first teaching. The investigation tries to identify and articulate some conceptualizations that concern the notion of desire from the first texts developed by Lacan, while these are related to Freud's theory of dreams, and the previous notions of desire developed by Hegel and St. Augustine. In this way, the concept of desire for Freud was identified; the origin of the desire concept for lacanian orientation psychoanalysis was developed; and the constitution of the subject was explained in relation to the concept of desire according to Lacan. The study concludes that the function that desire has for the lacanian orientation psychoanalysis is that it makes operative the lack in the subject. In this way, desire is a key factor for the deployment of the psychoanalytic clinic because it allows the localization of the "desiring subject", from which it is possible to undertake an analysis.
