The objective of this case study is to analyze the application of narrative techniques for the control of anxious symptoms in a case of Generalized Anxiety in a 14-year-old adolescent. The analysis and detailed description of the intervention allows to think of the use of three specific narrative techniques: externalizing the problem, the identification of the extraordinary events and scaffolding conversations and the influence of these on personal aspects and promotion of the control of anxiety, such as: the identity of the adolescent, his coping strategies and adaptive behaviors.
