The concept of mental health in the West is different from the Andean world, since according to the World Health Organization (2013) defines the term health under the paradigm of human welfare that includes basic needs, however in the world Andean and Aymara culture, is balance and harmony at various levels, spirit-body unity. So the concept of disease is different in the Aymara culture in the West. Schizophrenia known in the world of science has different causes, in the Andean world can manifest symptoms for different reasons all with own mythic discourse of their culture. Then the belief system of the origin of the disease is different, so that intervention can vary. In the case study Ceferina, patient Aymara origin who was hospitalized in the psychiatric "San Juan de Dios" could not react to the treatment provided by this, the reasons are closely related to traditional medicine that had before admission, plus I did not get enough support from his family, which severely detracted the patient. All this was through an analysis of family structure and belief system that it has regarding the disease.
