Abstract

LARZABAL FERNANDEZ, Aitor  and  RAMOS NOBOA, Maria Isabel. DESARROLLO DE LAS EMOCIONES A TRAVÉS DE LAS REDES SOCIALES EN EL CASO DE LA INICIATIVA YASUNÍ-ITT. Ajayu [online]. 2017, vol.15, n.1, pp.15-33. ISSN 2077-2161.

By 2013, the Yasuní- ITT Initiative announcement was abandoned. This situation caused several reactions in the community, which were posted in several social networks. The emotions that were experienced, captured and read in social networks between 2007 and 2013 were analyzed in this research.  As a result, a questionnaire was developed for this exclusive purpose, which focused on the emotions that took place and was posted and read by the people who actively were posting news regarding such initiatives on social networks.  The findings were consistent between the emotions that were experienced, read and posted by the people on Facebook during the time under analysis. Finally it is concluded that while this research has limitations, social networks can be a good indicator of people’s emotions. Therefore, it is recommended to pursue the same research line in the future. In addition it is concluded that the procedure used maximized the advantages and minimized disadvantages of the classic online studies.
