Resumen

ROTH, Eric  y  ZEGADA, Adriana. LA MUJER FRENTE AL DELITO: FACTORES ASOCIADOS A LA REINCIDENCIA DELICTIVA FEMENINA. Ajayu [online]. 2016, vol.14, n.1, pp.102-120. ISSN 2077-2161.

The aim of the present research was to reflect on the various factors associated with criminal behavior of women, especially those related to recidivism. The study was conducted in the context of a detention center for women in the city of La Paz, Bolivia, with a convenient sample of 90 prisoners who gave their consent to be part of the research. The sample presented heterogeneous ages and dissimilar personal and criminal histories. An important proportion of the participants had an important history of psychotropic substance abuse, and approximately a fourth part of them had relapsed into crimes related to the coca and controlled substances regime. The results pointed out the existence of multiple significant relationships among demographic, social and antisocial variables with the recidivism, although only two of them, cocaine use and having children, proved being good predictors of such a behavior.

Palabras clave : Female delinquency; criminal recidivism; prediction of recidivism.
