The objective of this case of study is to identify the effectiveness of interventions based on narrative therapy in a case of child anxiety of an 11 year old girl through the detailed analysis of individual process. The analysis process is crucial considering that anxiety is one of the most common psychopathologies in the population of children, adolescents and adults, increasing the risk of other disorders such as depression and others. The therapeutic process was performed with an 11 year old girl to whom we refer with the fictitious name of Ana who is part of two upper middle class family systems. The aforementioned girl gets to therapy accompanied by her father with the demand of control the discomfort that causes noises when eating with her family; discomfort understood by the family as a result of Selective sound sensitivity syndrome or misophonia which forms the dominant story that will be reconstructed from externalization strategies, the enormous capacity of imagination of the child and the co-construction of a more favorable alternative story to personal development.
