The breakup experience is a type of ambiguous loss, is quite common in young people been one of the most painful and stressful experiences you can suffer. This research focuses on exploring the stories of three couples thatbroke-up, using the narrative approach. It was conducted by one semi-structured interview to all participants, this to make a comparative analysis. It started with a base question following the story of each participant where other questions arose about the main subject. Although the context of each participant was totally different from others, women and men showed some similar characteristics in coping mode of grief, and affective and cognitive processes according to their experiences.
