Resumen

BOHRT, Raúl; ROMERO, Cecilia  y  DIAZ BRETONES, Francisco. Organizational commitment among workers: a study in four bolivian organizations. Ajayu [online]. 2014, vol.12, n.2, pp. 227-245. ISSN 2077-2161.

The purpose of this article is to examine the relationship between the affective, continuation and regulatory components of organizational commitment from the model of Meyer and Allen (1997) and a specific segment of the hierarchical structure in four Bolivian organizations. A sample of 424 listed in the lower levels of the organizational structure workers, those in positions of factory worker, hotel service employee and cashier or customer service platform of the bench was obtained. The results subjected to analysis of variance ANOVA showed that the three groups differed significantly in levels of organizational commitment in the three components. The positive responses from employees of banks prevailed over those of factory workers and these in turn exceeded commitment rates to employees of hotel services. The findings are discussed in light of the inherent complexity and richness of the tasks associated with the surveyed jobs and working conditions offered in the respective organizations.

Palabras clave : Organizational Commitment; Affective; Continuation; Standards; Manuals Workers; Office Workers; Service Employees.
