ABSTRACT It establishes the relationship between burnout, job satisfaction and personality traits of 7 nurses at 215 hospitals in La Paz. It determines the level of reliability and factorial validity of the MBI, the Big Five MiniTest Brody and Ehrilchman and Job Satisfaction Questionnaire Travers and Cooper. Job satisfaction is positively corrrelaciona the "fulfillment", negatively with "depersonalization" and "emotional exhaustion". Internal consistency of the MBI is optimal. The Mini BFT test is a reliable instrument. The job satisfaction questionnaire has adequate internal consistency. Job satisfaction is related to management style and interest given to suggestions. The 8% of the sample show the burnout syndrome.
