Adolescence is a period where a person faces important social, emotional, cognitive and behavioral changes; this is why there is such a vulnerability for getting involved in risky situations. It is in this period, when parental role is fundamental to guide de adolescent towards a satisfactory adult life. Nevertheless, this is also a period where such role is made aside, and the relationship is affected. Based on a previous study, it was determined that the adolescent should be the main lead in his/her filial relationship. In this case, through the increase of the levels of filial selfefficacy, it was intended to improve the established filial relationship inside the family environment. Though a pre experimental study and a pretest-postest design with non equivalent control group, a filial self efficacy program was put into practice with 14 adolescents. After the intervention, results reveal that an increase in filial self efficacy levels, may conduct to the development of a communicative and supportive filial relationship.
