Abstract

QUITRAL ROJAS, Máximo. Integration and Democracy in Latin America: an Historical Path. rlde [online]. 2015, n.23, pp.129-149. ISSN 2074-4706.

The debate about the scope of integration in democratic regimes in the region is resuming the discussion from political instability situations seen in some countries of the Southern Cone. Precisely, to revive the sense of integration reinforces the value of democracy and inhibits chances of coup riots. This is supported by the Democratic Clause committed by Latin American countries in the nineties.

Keywords : Integration; Democracy; region; instability; regime.
