Water is the source of life and one values it most when it's in short supply. Scarce rainfall and high temperatures produce the domineering dry extreme northern Chilean landscapes. The paper seeks to assess human-induced desertification over the study area, through times, whereas examining recent water management legislation and jurisprudence in Chile. The paper proposes a comprehensive understanding of highly vulnerable study-cases sample researched, aimed at adding solutions that might benefit worldwide water management regulations.
