Abstract

MERCADO, Alejandro F.. Ayn Rand (1905-1982). rlde [online]. 2007, n.9, pp.191-207. ISSN 2074-4706.

The fact that in our countries we lay great stress on the state rather than on the individual has resulted in a sort of barrier against liberal ideas. This, unfortunately, has isolated us from the positive influence of the values that promote development. The aim of this essay is to contribute to the weakening of this mental wall, by presenting, in a brief and simple way, the philosophical views of one of the most important figures when it comes to fighting for the rights and freedom of Men. We hope that this work will give you the will to learn more about Ayn Rand's work.
