Abstract This paper addresses the complex challenge of authorities and society in general regarding violence against women, girls, and adolescents in Ecuador. To gain a deeper understanding of the current situation, a diagnosis was conducted that includes an analysis of international agreements and national laws related to this issue. Furthermore, an empirical approach was employed for critical legal analysis, based on oíEcial surveys and bibliographic review. Through this approach, a more comprehensive and qualitative view of the issue is aimed to be obtained. With this work, the goal is to raise awareness about the importance of addressing digital violence in Ecuador and promoting the implementation of measures to prevent it. The current analysis concludes that gender violence has a cultural origin exacerbated by a deficient system in implementing public policies, laws, and strategies to prevent and eradicate violence against women, girls, and adolescents; and to prevent impunity in cases of aggression. Without eífective and exemplary sanctions for those responsible for these crimes, political will alone will not be suíficient to achieve change.
