ALIAGA CHURRUARRIN, Daniela Grace. The reuse of wastewater in mining with a focus on circular economy. Fides Et Ratio [online]. 2023, vol.25, n.25, pp.193-228. ISSN 2071-081X.
Abstract The objective of this research work is to show the current reality of the measures carried out by mining companies in Bolivia regarding the reuse of residual water, properly called acid waters with a focus on circular economy. For this reason, the work is divided into two parts; The first part refers to the reality in Bolivia regarding the reuse of acid waters from mining. The second part refers to the advances and contributions of Chile regarding the reuse of water in mining. The methodology of the work consists of a review and analysis of the information on the subject, using the inductive logical basis through bibliographic and documentary research. The results are synthesized in the relationship between the importance of the circular economy and the reuse of residual water derived from mining activities represented through a cause-and-effect diagram based on the information collected, which seeks to answer the following question research What are the difficulties in implementing CE - circular economy in mining to reuse AMD - acid mine drainage? In our country. As results, it is identified that there are several causes in the dimensions of measurement and method that genérate difficulties in being able to start the implementation of the Circular Economy, mainly the lack of quantitative information on water consumption in mining that allows calculating an approximation of the amount of AMD produced. In conclusión, to solve this problem, it is necessary for scientific, state, government, and prívate institutions to measure water consumption and evalúate current regulations to align them with the circular economy approach
