Resumen

REYES RODRIGUEZ, Alixon David. Bad practices in scientific writing. Fides Et Ratio [online]. 2022, vol.23, n.23, pp.97-126. ISSN 2071-081X.

Abstract The communication of science involves the development of skills, one of them being scientific writing. For this reason, every researcher and scientist needs to acquire and develop these skills. At the same time, ethical training, the generation of a critical conscience and an accentuated technical profile that allows him/her to communicate his/her findings in a rigorous manner in journals of high scientific impact without resorting to undesirable practices that damage the heritage of science are imperative. The purpose of this work is to detail the manifestation of bad practices in scientific writing that will allow a researcher to identify them and beware of incurring in them, understanding that some of these behaviors are intentional and others occur due to ignorance of the person who incurs in them. Finally, this work provides suggestions to prevent and detect bad practices in scientific writing
