Abstract
SALAZAR JIMENEZ, María Elizabeth and ANIBARRO PERINGER, Paola Viviana. The Perception of the Patient Diagnosed with Paranoid Schizophrenia on the Level of Communication within their Family System. Fides Et Ratio [online]. 2017, vol.13, n.13, pp.75-94. ISSN 2071-081X.
Abstract Paranoid schizophrenia lacks effective medication or psychological treatment, this prompts to study the patient's perception of communication within his family system, to establish if it is the probable cause of his illness. This quantitative, descriptive, non-experimental-transectional design, using Barnes, H. and Olson, D. Family Communication Scale, negatively measures the patient's perception about his / her family communication. The comparison with the results of the group without disease through Chi square confirms the relationship between paranoid schizophrenia and communication, so that this positive relationship will allow the design of instruments that improve communication and thus the disease.
