Abstract The objective of this work is to characterize the facilitation of the teaching process in the university classrooms, to strengthen the communication processes. It is a descriptive research that applies to the students of Sociology of the University of Machala, the same that allows clarifying on the nature of the mediation that are performed in the processes of teaching and learning. Surveys is used to encourage students to express their opinion and from this develops an interpretative analysis. The results determine guidelines for the processes of teaching improvement based on the implementation of atrue mediation
