The objetive of this paper is to introduce the users of the Net Present Valué and Internal Rate of Return financial tools on issues inherent in its application for the evaluation and selection of investment projeets: utility. interpretation of results. assumptions underlying the c al c ul ati o ns , errors and restrictions. Modified VPN and modified TIR tools will be presented as an alternative to solve these assumptions, errors and restrictions.
