Abstract

ESPINOSA CALABUIG, Rosario. "International divorce in the European Union: : Problems of legal coherence and coordination". Rev. Bol. Der. [online]. 2016, n.22, pp.208-233. ISSN 2070-8157.

Abstract: The problems regarding family matters in the European Union have promoted the work toward the legal unification of this field. This article analyzes, in particular, the problems of coherence and coordination between the regulations elaborated in the EU to unify the rules of jurisdiction in matrimonial matters (Regulation 2201/2003 "Brussel II bis") and the conflict of law rules (regulation 1259/2010"Rome III").The limitations, principally of the last one, will make difficult their practical application.

Keywords : Divorce; international jurisdiction; applicable Law.
