The purpose of this article is to analyze the evolution that has taken the figure of moral damage in Mexico, from its legislative stages and the process of decriminalization of crimes against honor, to determine the elements that have contributed to establish an orphanage as for the figure, especially in the Southeast of the country, due to lack of agile and preventive procedures to protectthe rights of personality.
