This paper analyzes the right to family reunification within the scope of the European Union, under which the foreigner lawfully resident in a country can move with them to their next of kin.This family reunification is one of the most effective way in achieving the integration of foreigners in a country. The paper analyzes the conditions and requirements for the exercise of this right by emphasizing the existence of a separate legal regime dependi ng on the nationality of the applicant.Thus, a much more favorable rules are expected when the applicantis a citizen of the European Union, compared to a much more restrictive when the applicant is a national of a third State.
