International Child Abduction is a dramatic subjectfrom a social point of view, and complexfrom a legal standpoint.This article provides the courses of action regulated in Spanish law in international and national sources, which are complementary but have different objectives (the child's return,obtaining custody, civil or criminal liability). Reaching a satisfactory solution will require comprehensive advice in order to guide the parent through the most appropriate way to resolve his case
