ABSTRACT: Juvenile delinquency is not a recent phenomenon, but it is just the opposite.The historical evolution of judicial courts and criminal prosecution of minors has been a long process and it is still unfinished. Legislative options are very diverse and the particularities of each country have influenced on the system which has been finally adopted.This article describes the developments of those courts in Spain.As well as it also describes the process since the 19th century up to nowdays. It also focuses on the budgets that have been taken into consideration and concludes with the paradigm shift that has brought the latest legal reforms.
