ABSTRACT: This article aims to present some essential ideas on a hottopic in Spain and Europe, the family mediation, as one of the most important formulas in the field of dispute resolution. In these preliminary ideas, it is analized the conceptual framework of the family mediation, with special emphasis on some methodological issues related to the current regulation in Spain.
