Abstract Governance is a new way to govern and its most important sociopolitical strategy is co-management. With the incorporation of the environmental variable in the context of policy decisions regarding land use, management of natural resources and adaptati on to climate change, the notion of environmental governance has begun to be important for their early integration, interdisciplinary and connectivity between spaces and territories to achieve development in harmony with nature. The article makes an approach in setting up a framework for the practice of environmental governance in Bolivia, rescuing the foundation pillars of'living well'.
