Abstract This article studies the link between the educati on of the body with some crucial forms of knowledge for the school education. The interpretative analysis of the relation between body and knowledge established on the school is focused on the way the body is materialized on school-based circumstances while it is trained to learn in abstract ways. The process involves the student subjectivity since he has to stimulate a corporality willing to know the subjects and school norms.
