BRUNNER, José-Joaquín. Globalization of higher education: critique of its ideological standing. Rev. de Inv. Educ. [online]. 2015, vol.8, n.2, pp.33-43. ISSN 1997-4043.

Abstract Higher education (he) holds a privileged place in contemporary ideology and is understood to bring a series of key benefits and opportunities to the development and good performance of countries. Is this world of information and knowledge really more egalitarian, however? Have flows of ideas and publications become any more symmetrical? Are world-rank institutions really within reach of all countries? What role does Latin America play in global geopolitics in terms of the knowledge-based society?
