Abstract

GELLERT, Uwe. The mathematics teacher training: towards a theory of practical. Rev. de Inv. Educ. [online]. 2014, vol.7, n.1, pp.69-81. ISSN 1997-4043.

ABSTRACT The paper focuses on teacher training in the area of mathematics, initially presents advances in international research, debates and spreading academic; well, develops three work perspectives than they would "improve mathematics education." The author argues that without a theory of educational practice in the classroom, a theory of the interactional processes between students, teachers and mathematics, no resource is projected to exit the impasse. Without math teachers that understand what happens in their classrooms, each legislative reform will encounter the same obstacle: it has only effects on surface of teach and learn. A substantial improvement of educational practices in math class presupposes that teachers develop explicit knowledge about educational processes in place. Teacher training that has strong ties to both sides: with the practical and the theoretical.

Keywords : Teacher training; mathematics; theory of educational practice.
