ABSTRACT Teacher training, in the broad spectrum of its aspects, certainly is one of the most important pedagogical and curricular components in the field of education. Teachers are the pillar of the education praxis in any society and educational system as they take on the responsibility for the integral development of the subject, including processes of enculturation and socialization of the person in modern societies. Moreover, they also commit themselves to contribute in a significant way to education in all its manifestations, including the basic, intradisciplinary, interdisciplinary, methodical, investigative, scientific, ethical, political, effective and practical education for children, youths, teenagers and adults. This significant task and responsibility requires, without doubt, an excellent formation and ongoing, permanent training that is directly related to education, the specific and referential disciplines, pedagogy and didactics. Based on our concrete experiences in the praxis and the research about teacher training, this article will suggest some ideas about the topic in question.
