Abstract

This article analyzes the influence of the information and communication technologies in the formation of citizenship values, emphasizing the importance of education in this process and the increasing relevance that these technologies are acquiring for the realization of citizenship in the social mobilizations, citizen activism and social organization mobilized for social struggles of various kinds. This implies the strengthening of the capacity of the intercom from the spaces of interconnectedness that are generated by the use of these technologies by society as a whole, thus enabling a full and reinforced realization of citizenship, for example, in the vindication of human rights as a common social cause.
