Abstract

PAREDES MALLEA, Javier. Are textbooks tools for decolonization?. Rev. de Inv. Educ. [online]. 2012, vol.5, n.1, pp.77-85. ISSN 1997-4043.

The implementation of curriculum designs requires the application of an infinity of material, including textbooks or school books. Tbis article analyzes the role of these tools in the educative process. It identifies the function that they perform in the construction and production of the State, and its possibilities and limits as curricular tools that facilítate processes of decolonization in the micro-structure of the school and in the social macro-structure.
