Abstract

RINCONES, Orland. Las comisiones locales de alfabetización y post alfabetización como espacio de participación de la comunidad en la dirección del hecho educativo. Rev. de Inv. Educ. [online]. 2011, vol.4, n.2, pp.145-163. ISSN 1997-4043.

ABSTRACT The incorporation of the socio-communitarian productive element in the alternative education that the Law Avelino Siñani-Elizardo Pérez demands opens up a new space for the active participation and the protagonism of the community in the education process, in this case in support of the National Post-Literacy Program, "Yo, si puedo seguir" ("Yes, I can continue"). During the development of the National Literacy Program, "Yo, si puedo" ("Yes, I can"; 2006-2008), the functioning of the Literacy Commissions (both on the national and regional level) was one of the first priorities of the work, with the understanding that they (and through them the society) where in charge of the organization and execution of the program. At the present time, this reality has not varied in the post-literacy program "Yes, I can continue". Based on the experience of the author as integral municipal advisor to the National Literacy Program in the departments of La Paz, Pando and Beni between 2006 and 2009, the present article suggests the creation of Local Post-Literacy Commissions in order to support the strategic objectives of the program and to fulfill the mandate of the new Education Law.

Keywords : literacy; post-literacy; commissions.
