ABSTRACT Education and work-life cannot be separated; they are part of the active community. In this community, harmony among human beings and with nature has to rule. This concept based on the role of communities building their destiny is part of an integrated concept of education as in the Bolivian Education Act. This task highlights the value of work as a social, individual, and historical issue. Being productive is one of the characters of the education in the community. The paper refers an activity held by students of the"Simón Bolívar" teachers' training school ", in La Paz-Bolivia, with projects on traditional medicine, nutritional and productive education.
