This document reviews the history and significance that Natives have gained in the military institutions, from the exclusion and denial of indigenous, through assimilation, until the current process that might be called one of inclusion. But, this process, is it the beginning of an intercultural process in the military? Or, could it be that it is the continuation of indigenous assimilation, but in higher ranks? In this study we will review the above stages and the current process named "social inclusion", in order to ascertain whether you can count in the near future with generals having an Indian origin.
