Abstract

CHAVEZ RODRIGUEZ, Diego Andrés. Construcciones teóricas para descolonizar la colonialidad del saber y la construcción de interculturaridad crítica. Rev. de Inv. Educ. [online]. 2010, vol.3, n.1, pp.133-147. ISSN 1997-4043.

The external and internal colonization imposed on many Latín American societíes brought not only a complex process of dominatíon over large populatíons, but the same process was accompanied by a categorical epistemic framework on which the validity of knowledge productíon was questioned when its axes were not the principies of modern societíes. Already for several years a number of scholars from various disciplines have been sharing on the need to study analyze and propose optíons to what has been called "coloniality of power", established as the invisible face of modernity. In this essay we try to take a journey through some of the ideas upon which this dialogue on modernity / coloniality has been founded, from an analysis of a theoretícal number of elements that make up the thoughts of those pursuing this work, to add ideas to the current debate on decolonizatíon and interculturalism. likewise the text seeks to address also the constructíon of knowledge produced inside Bolivia, as designed from the natíonal context itself and as it contributes to the process of decolonization of the "coloniality of power" and, above all, the construction of critical interculturality that can genérate processes of real equality.

Keywords : coloniality of knowledge; modernity; decolonizatíon and interculturalism.
