Abstract
OBE YAMPARA, Jesse Mauricio and CUELLAR MARQUEZ, Gustavo. History of the stock exchange of Santa Cruz de la Sierra S.A. and causes of its closure. Perspectivas [online]. 2022, n.50, pp.95-120. Epub Nov 31, 2022. ISSN 1994-3733.
The Stock Exchange of Santa Cruz de la Sierra S.A. was born in 1989 with affinities to the free market, with innovations such as the trading desk which was focused on variable income, in 1994 it changed its name to Stock Exchange and Products of Santa Cruz de la Sierra S.A. but the Regulatory Entity forces it to return to its previous name in December of the same year, as there are also complaints about the centralist bureaucracy. In March 1998, Law 1834 is enacted, which greatly hinders the continuity of the Santa Cruz Stock Exchange with articles 18, 28 and 29, which are anti-liberal articles with monopolistic tendencies, finally the Santa Cruz Stock Exchange decides to dissolve on 7 October 1999 to finally be officially liquidated in 2005.
