In this work we study from an integral point of view the social entrepreneur and the failure in his enterprise. Through the literature are identified in a theoretical manner eight causes why a social enterprise can fail and later these causes are agreed with experts in the area. The model of failure in social entrepreneurship was verified, making a survey of the information at national level and using exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis techniques, for the calculation of the reliability and validity of the instrument. Finally, an instrument of the failure of social entrepreneurship in Mexico (CAFES-M) is presented as an empirical result and validated through statistical methods.
