Abstract

CATACORA MAYTA, Henry Percy. Economic impact of labor turbulence in hotels in Puno, Perú. Perspectivas [online]. 2017, n.40, pp.65-94. ISSN 1994-3733.

This research was elaborated in the city of Puno, determining the internal and external factors influencing generate a turbulent work environment; assess the economic impact generated by turbulence; propose management alternatives that improve a turbulent environment in four-star hotels of the city of Puno. Deductive method was used, type descriptive and correlational. Turbulence work environment was 78.63% and the negative economic impact that turbulence generated 88.89%; where internal, sociocultural and financial factors with 64,10%, 88,89% and 78,63% respectively influence a turbulent work environment for generating negative consequences financial and other economic variables, Pearson correlation coefficient it was -0.53 between the study variables; turbulence work environment has economic impact in the hotels studied in view that revenues decreased by 264,054 soles and employment decreased by 11.18%, evento fallin 29 rooms the hotel supply. With this research we were able to propose alternatives to face turbulence and achieve increased quality in work performance in the four star hotels in the city of Puno based on strategic changes and development of dynamic capabilities.
