Abstract

ESPINOZA VASQUEZ, Lourdes Marcela. Regulatory periods in Bolivia (Causal analysis for Electricity and Telecommunications). Perspectivas [online]. 2015, n.36, pp.35-64. ISSN 1994-3733.

The paper aims to show the regulatory periods for two regulated infrastructure sectors in Bolivia went through, initially by the Sectoral Regulatory System (SIRESE) and later by the Authorities of Supervision and Social Control in Electricity and Telecommunications. This analysis allows to understand the contribution of economic regulation on coverage during a regulatory cycle in these two sectors. By assessing this regulatory experience, it is possible to identify policy measures that will help to strengthen the economic regulation in Bolivia and improve its performance or examine the importance of its presence in the markets
