OXA GERONIMO, Alcides Valentín; ARANCIBIA ROMERO, Cristina y CAMPERO ENCINAS, Sergio. Economics of Happiness: Empirical Evidence For Latin America. Perspectivas [online]. 2014, n.34, pp.159-180. ISSN 1994-3733.
This work is a laboratory where the possible interrelationship between happiness is experienced with variables such as: education, disposable income, wealth, religion (importance and frequency) and security, in order to find if there is functionality and correlation between happiness and these variables, shows that much of the variation in happiness measured as subjective satisfaction lies in a direction different determinants traditionally proposed. This fact suggests that the traditional determinants have little variability with happiness and therefore a low explanatory power. It has been used data from the survey of Public Opinion project (LAPOP) Latin America which has been a principal components analysis with a more thorough interpretation which takes into account the total variance of the data.
Palabras clave : economy of happiness; satisfaction; well-being; principal component; variance analysis.
