Abstract

This document is an analysis of food security from the performance of macroeconomic and macrosocial indicators in Bolivia, reaching to demonstrate the existence of economic and social barriers to achieve basically the access of food security dimension. In this context, held If well Bolivia has had an acceptable performance in some indicators macroeconomic and macrosocial, however the performance of other indicators macrosocial not has necessarily been acceptable, to the extent that it has not contributed much to the well-being of the people. This, from the point of view of safety food, it means that it is would not have much problem in the country in the dimension food availability, but that the fundamental problem would be access to the same, mainly by people who spend most of their expenses to food.
