Abstract

In recent decades, the intervention of the State in Bolivia has been expressed in economic policies, which had different consequences in the productive sectors. One of the sector concerned is the industry agricultural traditional, which in turn includes an important sector of the rural economy. The aims - for the period 1974-93-detect the incidence of yields, the rate of interest, the exchange rate, the price of the product, the price of the main input and the rate of inflation; on the production of potato at the national level. The hypothesis is that the State, through its economic policy adversely influenced the production of this crop. Has been adopted for the analysis the neoestructuralist paradigm; He says that in the development of traditional agriculture is conditioned by structural and conjunctural; variables (e) identifies the variables and the role of a productive situation like described inside. Through a model of ordinary least squares (OLS), is detected for the period 1974-1993, the importance and role of the independent variables; on the independent variable.
