Abstract

PACHAGUAYA, Pedro  and  MARCANI, Juan Carlos. Ethnography of an inter-jurisdictional dispute: Legal defence by the indigenous justice system in Bolivia. Tinkazos [online]. 2016, vol.19, n.39, pp.135-154. ISSN 1990-7451.

A jurisdictional lawsuit brought by indigenous authorities from Zongo was able to demónstrate that it is possible for the ordinary justice system and the rural-indigenous justice system to coordínate and cooperate in the framework of the new Constitution of the Plurinational State. The authors of this article were involved in the case and use ethnographic methods to present and analyse it.
