Abstract

NOYA¹, Martha. The judge's sound assessment: unsound forthe exercise of women's rights. Tinkazos [online]. 2016, vol.19, n.39, pp.71-77. ISSN 1990-7451.

Based on her research entitled "The judge's sound assessment in administering justice in cases of violence against women," the author presents one of her six case studies and offers a critique of the system for weighing the evidence prior to passing sentence, called "the judge's sound assessment." The article reveáis the extent to Ih the patriarchal and male chauvinist culture influences the thinking of judges in Bolivia, and shows how women's rights are being infringed as a result.
