The author of this article systematizes and analyses the contribution made by the research on urban development in Bolivia sponsored and published by PIEB. From different thematic, theoretical and methodological approaches, more than ninety studies examine issues including the problem of urban growth, imaginaries and identities, new urban actors, and public policies.
