Abstract

Violence as a human phenomenon can be identified throughout the history of what is today Bolivia. This article examines key moments when this phenomenon has become more visible, coinciding with periods of rupture in everyday life expressed in the extreme brutality with which some historical subjects have acted against their "enemies".
