Abstract

BARRAGAN ROMANO, Rossana. The pact-forging State: Thoughts on the strength of organised civil society. Tinkazos [online]. 2015, vol.18, n.37, pp.101-112. ISSN 1990-7451.

This article analyses the strength of organised civil society in Bolivia. Making use of various mechanisms, it has managed not only to cali a halt to state policies but also to modify them, reject them or, ultimately, demand measures that have benefited society. This perspective is present in different ways in the Bolivia, su historia collection, which shows that the State has not been a machine imposing itself inexorably on society.

Keywords : History of Bolivia; civil society; corporations; State; public policies; governments; ayllus; guiids and trade unions; regions.
