Abstract

TORREZ, Yuri F  and  ARCE, Claudia. The Plurinational State and its symbols. Tinkazos [online]. 2014, vol.17, n.35, pp.1-1. ISSN 1990-7451.

In this article, the authors examine the symbolic construction of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, which includes a vast iconic, aesthetic and discursive terrain. The production of different meanings reveals how allegories derived from previous imaginaries are amalgamated with those constructed in the context of the new state arrangements currently being put in place

Keywords : Plurinational State; cultural identity; discourse analysis; nation-state; historiography; citizenship; civic calendar.
