This article analyses Bolivia’s involvement in the global context, based on the geographical, economic and sociocultural characteristics of each state and the power-plays intrinsic to international relations. The authors show that globalization has a significant impact on identity construction in Bolivian society, particularly in those sectors who have direct links to the global market
